Renter-friendly, damage-free hanging solutions

Command strips by 3M offer a very quick way to decorate your walls and when the time comes to change up your decor, you can easily remove them without leaving any damage to the wall. This makes them a renter’s dream, but they are also great for those who aren’t super confident in their DIY skills or simply aren’t keen on making holes in the wall to put up pictures and frames.

We stock a wide range of Command Strip products from simple strips to help hang picture frames up to 9kg, value packs, various styles of hooks, decorative hooks and clips, and even mini hooks to help decorate your home with string lights or manage wires. There are even some heavier duty 3M CLAW hanger options that work on plasterboard for heavier decorations like mirrors and larger statement clocks up to a maximum weight of 30kg.

How to apply and remove Command Strips

For most Command strips, simply clean the surface where you are looking to hang your decorations with isopropyl alcohol before mounting. Attach the strips to the back of your frame, position in the desired location on the wall, and press firmly for 30 seconds. Carefully remove the frame from your wall, press the remaining wall-side strips for 30 seconds, and wait for 1 hour to allow the adhesive to set before rehanging your artwork. And when it comes to removal, slowly pull the strips downwards to remove them from your wall and frames. All products come with easy step by step guidance on the packaging to follow.

Just be sure to check the recommended maximum weights in the product descriptions as these vary from product to product. Also most Command products are recommended for use on walls without wallpaper or textured finishes.
